MUD Helps Bring Glam To Vegas

The true stars of the night couldn’t be found on the Vegas Strip this past weekend, but instead at the M Casino and Spa at the 4th Annual Joy Prom. This event celebrates those with special needs with a prom of their own — and this isn’t just any prom. It’s truly a night of glitz, glamour, and smiles — smiles that make you warm inside. A night to remember is special for disabled individuals who may not have been able to attend their own prom because of their disability, and has become so popular that the attendees are chosen through a lottery process.

MUD participated in the festivities by giving the ladies a boost of confidence with a makeover, a tiara, and a few products to touch up their look throughout the night. The MUD volunteers pampered the ladies from a salon just outside the registration table, just before the attendees walked the red carpet.

The gentlemen weren’t forgotten as they were presented with a top hat and a shoe shine from the UNLV football team. Once the participants hit the red carpet, they were cheered on by the UNLV dance team, a local cheerleading squad, and photographed by professional photographers. They were then greeted by various beauty queens, including Miss Wheelchair, just before they hit the dance floor. From TV crews to the Las Vegas Fire Department, every volunteer couldn’t help but smile as the excitement filled the room.

MUD looks forward to next year’s event and would like to thank all the volunteer stylists that participated, including Leeanne, who drove up from LA just for the event. To find out more about this event, go to http://www.joypromlasvegas.com/.
