Once again, Makeup Show LA brought together top beauty brands with the newest products along with plenty of educational demonstrations to help inspire industry make-up professionals. Make-Up Designory featured their array of products and showcased Make-Up Artist Beto França as he demonstrated his work in airbrush artistry during his “Carnival” demonstration.

While participants received a huge discount on products, they also experienced hands-on training with the latest products available on the market, like MUD’s new HD Air System. One of the best shows for discounts on make-up brands and networking, this pro-only show helps professionals to not only explore the many opportunities of the art, but to also learn more about industry trends to keep them on top of their game.

One of the popular keynote speakers was celebrity make-up artist Sam Fine, who talked about his career in the beauty industry. The go-to guy for legends like Patti Labelle, Iman and Vanessa Williams, he captured the audience during his personable discussion on building an empire around how his passion for illustrating has lead him into the role of Creative Make-up Director for a leading label.

The Inspiration of Carnival Comes Alive

Beto França’s “Carnival” demonstration was a huge hit. His inspiration? Parrots.

The tropical body, airbrushed masterpiece came alive with tall red feathers, intricate blends of hues, and a glimpse of sparkle.

The Brazilian make-up pioneer has fashion and beauty credits in everything from editorials, TV shows, and runway to ad campaigns. Beto has worked in Brazil with major cosmetics companies like Avon, Kryolan, Makeup Forever, MAC, and others. He has also worked with some of the most internationally famous Brazilian top models and actresses.

As one of the Brazillian innovators of airbrush and HD makeup techniques, he has collected several awards and nominations such as the Avon Color Award, Hair Brasil, and the prize of Best Makeup Artist given by Revista Cabelos & Cia (Hair & Cia Magazine).
