Vibrant brights and soft neutrals are making their way into Spring and Summer for 2010! Calming blues, romantic violets, bold yellows, tangy reds, and hues of coral lead the way for brights. Rounding out the palette are the neutrals in soft shades of creams, browns, and warm greens.
For the eyes, Eye Colors in Bone, Midnight, Smoked Sapphire, Pacific, Pixie, Sugared Violet, Taupe, Daisy, Moss, Cajun Spice and Shamrock are all hot this Season and will allow you to create almost any look. For the cheeks, Soft Peach Cheek Color, Glow Cheek Color, and Sweet Cheeks Color Creme are perfect for adding that sun-kissed glow. Lady Bug Satin Lipstick with Red Lip Pencil are great for a dramatic effect, or Bare Lip Glaze and Maple Lip Pencil create a natural, subtle look.
Create one or all of these looks with our suggested color combinations.
Spring 2010 Look #1: Out on the Town
Eyes: Start by blending Dulce De Leche Eye Color all over lid to create a soft base with the #800 Crease Brush. Then apply Smoked Sapphire with the #330 Shadow Fluff Brush in the crease, starting in the outer corner of the eye and moving inward. Brush strokes should be clean, even, and in a back-and-forth motion. Apply more Smoked Sapphire to the brush and bring the color down towards the outer lash line, blending softly. Using the #330 Shadow Fluff Brush, apply just a small amount of Pixie Eye Color to the lid near the inner corner to brighten.
For a more intense look, use the #210 Angle Liner Brush with Smoked Sapphire Eye Color and place the color along the bottom of the lash line just underneath the eye – this will create a beautiful drop shadow. Diffuse the color with the #810 Smudger Brush and finish the look with Volumizing Mascara.
Spring 2010 Look #2: Beach Babe
Eyes: Apply Dulce de Leche Eye Color on the lid with the #330 Shadow Fluff Brush to create a sheer application. Next, apply a small amount of Cajun Spice Eye Color in the contour of the eye with the #800 Crease Brush. Start from the outer corner and work toward the inner corner of the eye, blending to create soft edges. For extra definition, use Rich Brown Eye Pencil in the lash line and coat the lashes with Cream Mascara.
Cheeks/Lips: Apply Endless Summer Bronzer with the #510 Duster Brush, starting from the center of the cheek bone and lightly brush upward. Apply a small amount of Magnolia Lip Glaze for just a hint of color on the lips.
Spring 2010 Look #3: Resort Chic
Eyes: For a hint of color, apply Pixie Eye Color on the lid with the #800 Crease Brush, blending upward into the crease. For elegance and definition, add Smoked Sapphire Eye Color as a liner with dampened #210 Angle Liner Brush, ensuring the thinnest part of the eye liner is near the tear duct. The liner should thicken towards the outer corner of the eye and flare up, stopping two to three lashes in. To finish the look, apply a coat of Volumizing Mascara.
Cheeks/Lips: Starting from the center of the cheekbone and using a circular motion, apply Endless Summer Bronzer with the #700 Cheek Contour Brush. Apply a light layer of Magnolia Lip Glaze to complete this look.
